Hey @sama94 ! I know I was feeling the same, but we finally got our medical request last Tuesday and the information was just updated saying medical was passed. We are literally only 2 weeks away from our one year mark. We have no idea how much longer it’ll take. It’s really frustrating :(

Do you know if in such cases, where there is a delay without reason, whether we can hire an immigration lawyer to speed up the process or at least find out why there is a delay and proceed? Is that even an option? Anyone else have experience?

Thanks Yoge for the suggestion! I will do that actually. I sent an email to the Colombo Visa Office, but they replied with an automatic message saying that our application is in queue.

I’m also a Quebec applicant and will hit my one year mark this October. Still haven’t received our medical request. As far as I know, after the one year mark we can contact our MP; however, I think we can also request GCMS notes for further details.

I just gave it a shot and they emailed us back. They didn’t give us much info. Just that our file is in queue. The email is: colombo-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca
