How soon did you get your e-certificate after the oath?

Yes, but even at the in-person they give two options- paper or e-certificate.

Can anyone advise, what’s faster - to get paper certificate and wait for 2 days before applying for a passport or to get an e-certificate ( it can come within 5 days after the ceremony)

Don’t forget that each case has to be reviewed and approved by the assessor/judge and each case is individual, so don’t look at other cases and timelines it’s all relative and might not apply to you

May I ask who consolidates the information?

I’ve heard that you need to give them a really good reason why they need to reschedule the oath for you. So saying “just traveling” might be not good enough

Guys, do you know if you can travel out of the country during your citizenship application process? Like if I want to go on a short vacation now, my LPP hasn’t been processed, I assume it will take them another 1-2 months do finalize…

I had a similar request for my PR application. Perhaps if you contact the police office or whatever government body in that country issues Criminal record certificates and request it. When you receive it you translate it and send them the scanned documents.

They updated my application on 28th saying the results received, and on 30th saying BG completed

It seems that the applicants who were not required to submit fingerprints are being processed way faster.

Submitting fingerprints is a long process- first they check it through the database 3-8 weeks, then send the result to RCMP or something like that- they can take several months

Most likely for the security purposes. If you look at others- their applications are processed in a different city from where they submitted it. It’s quite standard.
