It all depends on the processing centre. Some centres does the security checks first or after the test. In my case my security was done first and after that I wrote the test. DM was made the next day after the test and waiting on the Oath invite now. Hope this helps...

I wrote the test a week ago. My advise is to use the Discover Canada guide only. I read it 3 times and then tested myself on some websites to see what questions could be asked. I passed 20/20 if that helps Good luck!

No US Visa. I read on the CIC website that if you already applied and have a job offer that is valid, they will consider it. You fill in the web form and send it off to them.

Hey guys. I'm wondering why Kitchener location is taking so long? It's super frustrating to see EVERY other location getting test invites and oaths within a reasonable time. I'm wondering if anybody has been processed in this location before 1887....

We'll be lucky if we get something by April 2019, I guess. I spoke to them some time ago and they said that if it passes 12 months, I should call them and inquire about my app.

Thanks for you reply @bucajack. I called them early November and they said my background checks were done and is all clear. If I may, what form of correspondence do they prefer? E-mail or snail mail? I'm in no great rush, just curious on the process. Thanks

I've also noticed that there is no activity in the Kitchener/Waterloo area. Bit frustrating as I've seen apps been handed in after my IP date of 27 July 2018 and take the oath already? Could anyone shed some light on this by any chance?

Quick question to everyone- One of the requirements when going to write your test is having a copy of your original application with you on the day. If the copy of my original application got water damaged, what does one do? Any advise would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

Seems that Kitchener area is most likely the slowest of them all. IP since 27 July- no e mails/spam or letter for invite... Is this the norm?
