Yes, likely the biometrics requirement was not in place for your country when you submitted the application. CIC will not issue request for passport if they needed biometrics I do not think. Passports is the last step

You have been approved as sponsor. Likely will get an email soon to let you know what LVO you got. What is the status under Applicant in e-cas? That may help to determine where things are at

Exactly what we discussed couple pages ago. It is a risk for parents to leave right away before PR is issued because of this issue they may encounter with having to go for new photos.

Nothing for you to do. It is updated by the VAC. Ours showed immediately in the GCKey as Completed. If you are checking e-cas, you will not see anything there. Ours still shows We sent you a letter....

You should look at the SS. Seems Mexico applications are moving slowly. April 18 was just 2 months ago. I am not sure you need to be worried.

To comment on my own comment - after calling CIC yesterday, I got the DM letter last night. DM June 14, file forwarded to Paris (not sure why as my LVO based on country per the CIC website is Bucharest, but anyhow).

I doubt they will outright reject you. Likely will ask for the missing signatures to ensure file is complete before sending AOR. Maybe even accept what you have submitted. I do not think you should be doing anything now.

I do not think the requirement applies to you. You may have overpaid the fee but not sure parents will be asked to give biometrics. I think you should just wait and let process takes its course.

Sorry - Can you see applicant section in e-case? If so, that is where you will find a notice that says We sent you a letter on X date. And when you go to GCKey, you will see the letter in your file. That is how it was for me. And I also got an email that letters have been added to GC Key. But...
