Hey Tobs, thanks! I actually did not order CBSA notes. I assumed I was in SS because of the time security was being processed, almost 6 months, and most importantly because of my background as policeman.

Thanks mate. I first noticed a change on my online profile on August 15th, which happened to be the day they asked for my wife’s fingerprints-based Canada PCC. I submitted this additional document a week later. Later, through GCMS notes I learned that criminality was cleared shortly after on...

As per Ralph’s reply, and later confirmed by GCMS notes, criminality was passed and security was in progress since August 29th. No further updates after that, until the ghost update yesterday! Because my wife and I have a law enforcement background, we both are police officers back in Brazil, I...

Thanks mate! I know it’ll sound cliche, but hang in there tight, it’ll come sooner than later! I myself was starting to lose hope with so many things happening, including a work permit application refused in between. This immigration thing is truly a nerve-racking ordeal!! I wish you luck on...

GCMS shows 'Security Screening' and waiting... - let's gather here!

Hi guys, Woke up today with the great news. it’s PPR!! After a ghost update yesterday, today very early in the morning, the ready for visa email was there sitting in my mailbox. I had all the reasons to think, and I firmly believed, that I’d fallen under SS. Actually I still don’t know whether...

Great, thanks for sharing...I am in a sort of similar situation as yours (apart from having received PPR, which I haven’t), but my wife is due on June 3rd. Assuming (hopefully) I’ll get PPR by then, what documents did they ask you to provide them with? Thank you

Hey Pantone, I got the PCC from the Federal Police website. I just translated with Docsbase and submitted. It all went well! Where’d you get yours from?

I’d go further, you know, I’d say there’s no point in calling them at all, as they never give any useful information apart from what you already know! At least it was like that to me. I’ve called them three times and in all of them they said they’re doing my background check. Not even to tell...

That’s maybe because when April comes, they’ll tell people to wait until June and so on and so forth. Then when eventually people get their PPR, it would’ve been within the timeframe provided, hence making them looking efficient, when in fact we all now they were not!!!

Hi tobs, I had to apply in August to extend my stay as visitor and was issued a Visitor Record allowing me to stay for 6 more months, which will expire this next February 13th. As a last attempt, we applied for a work permit on December 20th. By then, as per IRCC website, the processing time...

That’s right, it’s bizarre! We have to pay in double because of their inefficiency...because of this and other things we’re seeing here that my wife and I, after tirelessly discussing, are starting to re-think if this whole thing is really worth it... We all know immigrant life will never be a...

I totally get what you’re saying, I’m sort of in the same boat. I came to Canada with my wife in February with the promisse that if we applied from within country we could get a work permit. That’s what a damned consultant told me, and I bought that BS. It turned out we couldn’t! There’s no...

I’ve called them twice and normally on the 10th attempt I was placed in queue, which takes about 25~ 30 min.... You have to be VERY persistent and take at least 1 hour to work on calling them! It’s a tough task, I know!
