    17+ Months Applicants

They don't answer demand letters, they only really do that to demonstrate that CIC has not been responsive Btw, the effectiveness of this route is highly dependent on how your application has gone so far. If you still have security clearances pending, if you've received RQ's etc, it'll make it...

    17+ Months Applicants

Yup. But hitting the 2 year mark is good advice. I was at about 26 months when I filed, got the oath invite about 3 weeks later

Let's just say if you feel like your case is clearly showing signs of an unreasonable delay, you should consult a lawyer

Got my oath invite for mid July. ~20 months between test and oath, and it likely would have been longer if I hadn’t decided to make the big escalation

    21 month plus, and waiting

Yeah, to be quite honest until your security clearance is complete (the call centre will confirm it when you ask them, as will the MP’s office), there isn’t much you can do. Security is one of those things that allows them to delay it as long as they want

Direct Oath ceremony without citizenship test

Almost definitely a glitch. I have an entry on my ECAS about a correspondence sent on the 24th of October, 2017 which doesn't exist (and I've verified it) If it is legit, it's incredible you've recieved an oath invitation before me given that my test was in November 2017 lmao. Does your status...

To All 2017 applicants who are still waiting

So here's the thing - from what I've been told for months now, my background check should be complete. About 4 months ago, my MP's office informed me that my security is done and IRCC is just verifying my residency. I've backed this up multiple times speaking to call center agents. The reason...

Not too far away from the 2 year mark here - legitimitly considering the mandamus option now tbh

    +13 MONTHS APPLICANT

RCMP clearance expires after a year but don't worry, it only takes a couple of days to complete it again. If that's all that's left, you're done! Congrats man

Oath ceremony at Uni of Toronto

I haven’t, but I did have my University Convocation there :D It’s VERY spacious, though I’m not exactly sure how they would set it up.

    Status not updated to DM

Haha I think I’m a little longer, I’ve been waiting since my test in November 2017. I was never asked to provide any further information either
