I’ve seen cases where people have entered Canada by land using their COPR. You may explore this option if it works for you.

IRCC does allow you to take the oath from outside Canada in exceptional circumstances. Your situation might qualify for it so best would be to write back to them once you get the formal oath invite. If your request is approved, you can apply for passport while in US and will need to wait for it...

You can choose to put either parent’s family name. It’s also only for their identification purposes and doesn’t show up anywhere on the passport.

It’s 10 business days for walk in applicants.

Update: Received Passport today

Those are all that’s updated on a minor’s profile. Rest of the stages don’t apply to them. You would just wait for the oath invite now.

Most people I know got their paper certificates in mail in a weeks time.

Congrats! For me the wait between invite and the oath was probably the hardest.

You still stand a chance in November plus most days of December are work days except for the last week or so.

Happy to share that I had our oath ceremony on Oct 21. It was an in person ceremony so citizenship certificates were handed over right there. A big thank you to all of you for the help and support and I wish you all a speedy process and best of luck.

Nopes. Language and presence are not applicable to minor applying along with a parent so this will remain in progress.

As I understand you’re applying along with minor kids, you will be required to fill Minor 5(2) as @forw.jane confirmed above.

Nothing to worry. Minor’s application is processed with parents and will remain in progress on ECAS and tracker. You will likely see LPP completed for yourself and husband tomorrow or early next week followed by oath update few more days later. Minor’s tracker will only show Prohibitions...
