Landed in Canada - 17th September and applied inland PGWP on 20th September. Send me a personal message if you need more information...

Post Graduate Work Permit Processing Time (PGWP)

My personal suggestion would have been applying for PGWP before your study permit expired and later when you received your letter attach it to your existing application. That would have given you an implied status, allowing you to start a full time job. But that ship sailed.

    My PGWP - please help

I do feel you are overthinking the situation. I agree with the immigration advisor here, you should just avoid mentioning it, you are not lying in any case, it is just not speaking about an issue if you don't recollect it (since you mentioned that it was during the very initial period). If they...

Post Graduate Work Permit Processing Time (PGWP)

I second that! My employer never asked for such a document, as soon as I mentioned that I have applied for PGWP, they asked for the documents used for the application and knew what is implied/maintained status. News: Government allotted approximately 35 million CAD for clearing the 1.5+ million...

Post Graduate Work Permit Processing Time (PGWP)

Not claiming to an expert on the matter but recently PM Trudeau wrote a letter to IRCC to prioritize applications (multiple news article available on google). So, if everything goes well there could be significant changes (in terms of speed) post holidays. Looks like you guys have planned well...

Post Graduate Work Permit Processing Time (PGWP)

This is a very sad state of affairs. I guess this is more prominent due to the delays, anyone has an idea what were the average processing time before COVID?

Post Graduate Work Permit Processing Time (PGWP)

Nope, there is no need to secure a job for a PGWP application. It only requires you to complete a full-time diploma/degree in any DLI (and not violating any terms in your study permit).

Post Graduate Work Permit Processing Time (PGWP)

I know about the process and want to be calm about the time being taken currently, but my manager seems to be getting annoyed at this point because I can't provide a non-expired SIN before my PGWP arrives. I handle sensitive information at work and lot of applications and software package that I...

Prospective Student for January, May, and September 2019 Intake Gather Here For Question and Answer

I am not 100% sure on this but it is usually you should either have a valid offer letter from your second course to continue staying there as a student or you must have applied for a post-graduate work permit before finishing your final semester. Cheers!

Prospective Student for January, May, and September 2019 Intake Gather Here For Question and Answer

There is no confusion here, the Canadian term- 1 academic year refers to 8 months (2 semesters). There is no break between them

May / September 2019 intake for Ontario colleges

My point was more inclined towards your decision to study. If you get an offer from a college it would be a difficult visa process. I mean how would graduate certificate help you progress in your career. Anyways, Best of Luck!

May / September 2019 intake for Ontario colleges

Just an add- on to the excellent response by Akshay. If you go for 3 Sem course then you need another 1sem to be eligible for 3 year work permit. Some colleges do allow that.

May / September 2019 intake for Ontario colleges

In both cases rather than studying why not directly search a job and apply for the skilled migrant programs which would give you directly work permit. I am not an expert on the subject but that long experience in a skilled trade or business would be attractive for Canada. I mean the Canadian...
