Early rejections could be due to an incomplete application, mostly in the first month. If you have submitted your applcation with extra care, my experience in past few months says just lay back and relax; keep hope and wait for the best.

If that's correct, my personal experience and also reading from here and there says you'll stay in IP2 stage, then after medicals being passed, the status "may" change back to IP1 and later on becomes IP2 again. I checked my profile and realized that the BGC status changed to “We are processing your background check...” (AKA IP2). These messages are getting more and more confusing but I am happy to see a movement :D
