In my experience Mexico is very slow to respond, and you won't get any of the things that other VOs send out (eg AOR2, pre-arrival services, etc) until they're actually nearly done. Then things will come in over a couple months. YMMV. What's frustrating is that the medical exam gets requested...

Can I ask if you ever got notification about your background check starting or being processed? I ask because your timeline is quite similar to mine, but my, MP's office recently informed me that they were estimating another year until my application was processed because background check hadn't...

The estimated time to completion is another year, so my application will be complete in Oct 2019. That is the estimate at this point in time from IRCC.

So your application was within timeline limits. Right at the end of it but within 5 days of a year. I didn't start asking questions until the 1 year was up since applying, and now get told that it's another year out because neither police or background checks have started. That's what I mean...

I'm an Oct 2017 applicant, close to 365 days here and I just received AOR2 a month back. Haven't seen BGC or applicant eligibility passed yet. Thinking it's about time to call my MP.
