You usually just send it to a Canadian visa office closest to you. I sent my passport away 1½ weeks ago, and got it returned with the immigrant Visa yesterday. Just send it with a reliable mail service. We sent it with FedEx. And make sure to have a tracking number so you can track it.

I think this month will be it for you! To me it seems like they aim for us to be in Canada just before our medical expires. But you could contact your Visa office. In our pre arrival email, was an email address for our Visa office if we had any inquiries, which we used and in 2 weeks they replied

No, not that I know of. What I mentioned in our time line, is the only times they contacted us. But if they send you a Pre-arrival, I really think you're close to the finish line

Hey we have the exact same time frame. CIC received our application October 10 2017, pre-arrival letter on August 22, 2018... We're applying from Belize though. And we're impatiently waiting for progress too!
