No word on any part of my appeal. I started my appeal in november. I did hear from my caseworker in January (so not totally no word, but very little) that my file was sent to a judge and that id have a decision in a week. Found out my appeal file was sent to ottawa. Not a word since.

The progress bar reflects the 12 month wait, not your actual personal wait time, so its pretty much useless. I put in for appeal in November and still no word.

If you have an online cra account you can change ur marital status online. You will need to submit a letter statimg your date of marriage and their world income for the year before marriage and for 2019.

A friend of mine is going through the same situation. Speak to cbsa. They will ask for evidence if you have it and a written letter.

Its a very mentally draining process

It has been 5 months since refusal. Still not a word. No notes even tho they have been requested 2x. No decision although we were told we get a paper hearing with decision in 30 days. Nobody can tell me anything.

For family sponsorship you do. You do not need to pay it right away, but they will request it later.

They probably will know what the holes are from. When i got my app returned (missing info on one form), i had a tiny envelope stapled on mine. I sent it back the same way it came

Ours was awful. The woman was rude before the interview started. She lied to my husband about a few things and kept telling him that i was married to someone else (even put it in the refusal letter that i had married someone after after meeting my husband). Obviously not true, but still refused...

For sure. Try to keep busy. The wait can be excruciating. I heard so many people say that it would be so quick, and i hoped for that and was let down so often when it wasnt. It really tested my patience. Kvo is not quick to do anything. But again, hopefully its not as long for you. Dont expect...

Basically you wait now. For us it was a loooooong wait. The background check will be done and then you should hear about an interview time. From med/bio we waited from march until September until our interview email. Hopefully it wont be so long for you.

Thank you. She did a whole bunch of breaches of procedural fairness. We started our appeal in November and were told we are waiting on a decision any day now. We skipped a huge portion of that process thank God.

I didnt go for the interview. We assumed that he was just going for the regular interview, as they asked for only his passport and 2 pics. They never mentioned anything about my previous spouses death certificate at anytime. She also stated in the refusal i married someone after i met my husband...
