I believe so, because they want to know if you are convicted. But in my case I'm not the sponsor so that might make a difference.

In my case it took long becuase immigration waited for my trial to be over, now they just want a paper written by my lawyer explaining what was the outcome. My trial ended on April 9th 2019.
