Don’t know about that but CIC states that the date of PCC issued in a country you do not reside must be after the date you leave the country. So take care of it because I’ve heard of applications getting rejected because of the date PCC was issued. For your reference...

No they don’t take your passport. They say they send it to India for verification but 40 days is too much. Which Indian Embassy are you applying to?

Yes I got my PCC after 40 days I had to email them constantly to get it done, else they would have taken forever to do it.

They do not mention it as USD (US dollars) on the letter so I assume that the Canadian government might assume it as USD. Would it be an issue?

I also received a B/W copy from BofA, and I have uploaded and submitted it. I think it should not be an issue.

There is no pickup option. They send it through mail and the receipt is delivered with the mail. My RPO is Surat, Gujarat. Should I reach India RPO about this?

No they did not say anything. Here in Washington DC they only accept cash/money order in person and do not provide any receipt.
