Oh, thanks for that info. I didn't know Ottawa VO was new. Yes, I agree, timelines vary nowadays.

She can't give me an answer on the processing time. But she confirmed that Ottawa IR is a new and different office so I guess we cannot rely on the ongoing trend of processing time for the Ottawa Visa Office. I know of several applicants whose files were moved to Ottawa IR as well.

    April 2021 OUtLand Spouse Sponsorship

I received an e-mail that our application was moved to Ottawa IR. I thought it's the same as Ottawa Visa Office. I called up IRCC and the agent I spoke with said that Ottawa IR is a "new office", it's a "virtual office" she said, and that it's different from Ottawa Visa Office. I was curious...

My CIC account has just been updated to Application approved 1 day after I submitted my passport to the Local Visa Office. After IP2, there was no update for the PPR. I just received the PPR mail, submitted my passport, then IP2 becomes Application approved.

Mine hasn't change to date. I got my PPR mail but my CIC account is still in IP2. I heard that the CIC account changes after the visa is stamped on the passport. I'll post an update when my CIC account changes from IP2. I'm submitting my passport next week so I'll post an update after that.

For those asking, the PPR mail came from the Local Visa Office where I need to submit my passport. Honestly, at first I thought it was a fake mail, being sent in the Spam Folder. I read the body of the email to check for wrong grammar or spelling or information (like wrong UCI or application...

I kept on checking my cic account almost every hour before. Then once a day. Then it became every other day. Just so I won't miss out on any updates I guess

There is a ray of hope for everyone. After I passed the medical, I kept myself busy with work and tried as much as possible to avoid constant checking of my cic account. It kind of bothers me a lot everytime I see that my status remains the same.

I see. I was always checking on my CIC account. Good thing I checked my spam folder. Otherwise, I wouldn't know about the PPR email.

I agree. I got my WES report for HS, bachelor's degree, and professional degree. My HS is not equivalent to that of Canada's. So I just mentioned my Bachelor's Degree and Professional Degree (or the highest attained) in my EE profile.
