I have done same thing submitted my application from within Canada through my company lawyer, on may 18 2018 that time the time frame was 5 weeks but till date i haven't got any update from Canadian embassy . It only shows reviewing my eligibility. So its completely up to you .

Its restaurant work permit in BC. I am from Mumbai but have applied from inland Canada through my company lawyer on 18 may 2018. I am expecting approval by this week.. lets see which state have u applied for and in which profession
