October 2nd 2017 applicant. It’s been exactly a year today to our application. Feeling so disheartened and disappointed. We have been stuck in BGC for 1.5 months now

Sadly the applications are taking very long for most people, just be patient. there was 11 months gap before our BGC started and it has not budged since then. We have almost reached 1 year mark. Most applications are taking 15 months

Pre-Arrival letter is just a document they send regarding the resources available here to you to start your life in Canada, getting it is a good sign it means you meet the basic requirements to come here. Also the Background Check starts shortly after recieving the letter.

Not necessarily, unfortuantely for many people it is taking longer than 12 months. Online it says they try and process UP TO 80% of applications in a year

If it has been more than one year then you can email them regularly through webform about updates and they will respond. Also if you can, talk to your MP

is there a number we can call for updates, and talk to someone? or we just have to send enquiries through webform?

Depends... Some take longer than others. Mine replied within 24 Hours

We were asked for medical only in Nov 2017, then we got notice that our file is being sent to London Visa Office in Dec 2017, since then nothing. No request for certificates or Schedule A.

How helpful is it to request ATIP? can it have a negative impact on your case? to request it.

Hello Are there Any October 2017 applicant still waiting? we applied in october and they still have not asked for Schedule A and BGC. we have heard nothing since december.

The most frustrating thing about this is that if more than 85% of applications are taking more than one year then why have they written 12 months for processing times.
