    Hi! I thought it takes 40-60 days to get the PR card once you land?! Is this not the case anymore? I will be visiting Canada next month and, well, if I can get it in 3 weeks or so I might as well stay there for that duration!

    @ramanbhatti It looks like I am in the same boat as you were. Got an update on Jul 4th that my background has started, but nothing after. Called CIC and eligibility is recommended pass and criminality is passed, but security hasn't started yet. What an annoying wait.

    I got something similar but mine stated that my file was in queue to be picked up. The rest of the email was basically the same as yours. I don't think you need to worry. It is just some excuse to state that there will be a delay. I have the same AOR as you and just moved to IP2 today.
