Hey, is there any progress in your TRV application or are things the same as they were?

My Eligibility for TRV went from "Completed" to "In progress". Does not make any sense.

Well that's strange. I applied through IRCC TRV portal too but for me, I see some progress with eligibility and biometrics done. My intention was to see if you noticed your eligibility updates in your PR tracker. Or it went directly from "not started" to "Completed". Anyway, it doesn't matter...

That's great. May I know what's the situation with your TRV? Also, for your PR application, when did your eligibility start?

My guess is they won't put too much emphasis on home-ties since under this new measure, OWP is also going to be allowed for Spouses with TRVs.

What's your timeline? I think local VOs are progressing but Canadian VOs may have backlog due to strike.

I am. Application submitted: January 2023 Eligibility: Not started Background: In-Progress since April 19th I've called them twice but so far no updates.

Did you create an account using your email (Sponsor) or your spouse? I'm not sure if this makes any difference.

So this is different from GCKEY? I thought TRVs can be applied through GCKEY.

That makes more sense. The question still remains on how to apply cause there's no dedicated portal. Regular TRV application desn't show an option to let them know that your PR application is also in progress. Anyway, it's confusing but never hurts to try.

This is the info that I'm not sure of yet. They quoted in their announcement that around 98% of applications have been successfully approved using this new measures. I don't know how they got this data. I guess it wouldn't hurt to wait for next few days to see if they give detailed write-up for...

I think it's best to wait for AOR. I read somewhere that IRCC wants this new system to sift through the person's PR application and determine how likely it is that they will be granted permanent residency and then approve their TRV more quickly.

I noticed that all Pre-Arrival updates in this thread are from NDVO. No updates from anyone with in-canada visa offices. I guess it's due to recent strike.
