Are you from visa exempt countries?

I think the first one was for security pass and medical extension request same as mine and the one you got today could be either for the final decision on your file or the request to do re-med. How many days were there between these two updates?

Sorry to hear that but you are most probably gonna go under the same process that most of us went through. Having that said, no body knows, your security check might finish much sooner. I know it's difficult but be patient and stay positive.

I don't remember if they asked you to upload your CV or not. If yes, be prepared to have 4-5 months of processing time for your security check after this ADR. I hope that's not the case for you though and you get your PPR much sooner than that.

IRCC has medical officers. So, your case officer would ask medical officer to have a look on your medical results and he/she based on your results, country of residence, and possibly travel history decides whether to extend the validity or ask for re-med.

I am exactly in the same situation. Did you get your PPR? If yes, how long after their request for medical extension did you get your PPR?

Not true. We have tons of cases that IRCC extended their medical results for another year. It's totally upto the officer, the status of your case and your medical results wheteher they ask for re-medical or extend it without re-medical.

Extension of medicals or requesting medical is not necessarily a sing for final decision. But when medical results get close to the expiry date, they either extend it or ask for redoing the medical exam independent of the satus of your case.

My security took 4-5 months to get completed.

Oh, ok. Yours also got extended for anohter year then. Do you have any GCMS notes after that date to check how long did it take for them to do the paper work for extension medical results?

They have not asked me to do medical exams again (yet). So, this is what happens when you are close to the expiry date of your medical results. The officer either asks the applicant to do the medical exams again or they just extend it for another year. In my case, I believe has just requested to...
