Congrats Cindy! If they haven't previously sent you a procedural fairness letter asking for additional relationship proof (e.g. cohabitation proof) then DM is 100% a positive sign. You have nothing to worry about here :)

Have you heard from them yet? Did your GCMS notes even indicate anything about eligibility amd why they need to conduct an interview? I'm getting irritated. We haven't had any communication from them in months and our GCMS notes are way overdue.

General question: when you call IRCC, what do you ask them to get information on your file? I read about agents giving out information on the criminality/security/eligibility passed but every time I have called they've only provided me with information that I can see already on mycic.

While it is positive that they didn't automatically reject him after the PF letter, "further assessment" means that it can now go well beyond the 12 months processing time and a new agent at your local office can request additional documents/conduct a "relationship interview".
