Yep, I did the same thing and the lady who works at Service Ontario said the card would come around the date your eligibility starts.

My PR card was sent out today, so I will finally hold it in my hands soon :)

Have you received it in mail by now?

I had my interview 10 days ago. You get an email from the respective office, can be anytime, and they choose the date for you. If you need to change the date, you would have to wait up to 6 weeks again for another date.

Had a landing interview yesterday in Etobicoke. All went smooth and fast. Congrats to all who have completed the process and good luck to the rest of you who are waiting :) Thanks for your support guys! It was a nice journey. Here is to our new lives in Canada as permanent residents :P

Hey folks, How does it work with applying for OHIP the days after becoming a permanent resident? Is the 3 month waiting period inevitable for me even though I've lived in Ontario and made it my primary home since June 2019?

Among many other documents for the interview, they require a proof of address from my wife. Is a bank statement or phone bill letter sufficient?
