Any idea if cbsa will ask you to pay duty for the jewellery that you bring into Canada ? I have included it in the goods accompanying list & plan to attach photos & bills. Is there a threshold on the value ? It's not much..just couple of earrings, bracelet & a neckpiece..diamonds..so high value

The thing is within a span of few weeks they have sent out "n" number of PPR requests to applicants from Jan-Apr. And everyone would have submitted their passports. So it's going to take atleast 2 weeks. I'm from Bangalore I was told 15-20 days

If you have shown them your relationship through emails, text messages exchanged & printouts of social media. And hard copies of pictures help. But you say you have already filed. So in case they ask for more proof..give them all of the above..doesn't matter how many pages. Put everything on...

You can start preparing your forms while you are here...some of them require your wife's signatures. So finish those before you leave to avoid future mailing back & forth.

This depends...some Indian communities have abused the system so badly ..bringing in their cousins etc under spouse visa ...as a result others are suffering due to this. I don't want to name these communities...but yes as far as I've heard from my in laws (settled in Canada since late 70s) ppl...

You should be able to track on the VFS site. They give you the link on the receipt. Also sms & email updates.

Read on 2018 thread someone who submitted to VFS Chandigarh got it within 5 days !

Get the PCC from hometown PSK as that's the address in your passport. You'll get it on the same day...no police verification etc If you apply from your residing city PSK you'll face issues..I had to go through a lot..finally had to *take care of* the policeman who came for police...

Yes I have traveled outside India after marriage. But I also submitted PCC for the same country. Feb 8th: Application Oct 23: DM & PA Oct 24: PPR
