I printed out the email receipt/booking info of my flight.

Here is my experience applying in person for a passport in Calgary (Sundance Passport Centre) as a walk-in with no appointment. There's a waiting room that opens at 7:00 am not at the main entrance, but further down the side of the building. I didn't see any signage but saw security directing...

I received my citizenship certificate today! Now onto the last step of the process: getting my passport.

Not exactly sure when, but my ECAS tracker updated from "Decision Made" to "Complete" and the status tracker still says citizenship ceremony is in progress. I'm so excited and can't wait for the certificate to come!

I just completed my oath ceremony just now! Although I am officially Canadian, I feel like I'm not yet a "true" Canadian until I receive my citizenship certificate.

I've read others say that they got theirs a week before the oath ceremony so definitely check your email (and spam inbox!) tomorrow. If you don't get anything, be sure to follow up! Not sure what is best to contact them, maybe your area specific CIC email?

There will be no issue regarding the oath. The King doesn't need an official coronation to become King; it was immediate upon our late Queen's passing.

Update: I received the email with instructions for my oath ceremony (Sep 13) today. I'm very happy that I'm getting closer and closer to the finish line!

Update on July 13: Citizenship oath status has been updated to "in progress" with an oath date Sep 13. I haven't yet received an email with instructions on how to attend.

Update: physical presence, prohibitions, and language skills updated to completed on June 16. ECAS now says "Decision Made" in the application status.
