If your accounts inTD are in USD in Canada and US, whatever you send is exactly what you receive if you use crossborder service.

If you have a US dollar account in TD bank in Canada and an account in TD bank in the US, you can trasfer miney using the crossborder service at no charges.

I think you better try to cross the border using a private car. At the border they might let you in without problems. If they ask you about RO, you may tell them about your intention to stay permanently. If the officer is nice, you might get in without problems. Good luck

Hi, It is worth considering flying to Chicago, and then driving to Detroit and entering Canada using a private car. You should have your expired PR and your Landing paper. I have done this before.
