Does a finger print request set an application back as much as 6 months ? That sucks. My wife has just sent away her fingerprints, we applied April .

To answer my own question incase anyone else finds themselves in this same predicament - yes you can go through the fingerprint process from outwith Canada. My wife had them done at the local police station and we sent them to a company in Ottawa that digitises them and sends them on the RCMP.

My wife and I sent away our applications together meaning they would be processed at same time as i understand it. Her application has been delayed for fingerprints, does anyone know if mine will now be held up also or does it carry on as it would ? Thanks

My wife had a fingerprint request and the letter states Vancouver is our processing office .

We have just found out our applications are being processed through the Vancouver office although we are in the Calgary area . Does this mean we will have to go to Vancouver for our test ??

I have tried every permutation with every id number for both my wife and I and still cannot get signed in. Maybe it's because we are in the UK trying to login ?

Yes all entered as requested The date is selected in the calendar that pops up

The 8 digit number on my card ? No still not happening . Now I'm locked out for exceeding sign in attempts ....o_O

So we still can't get into ecas despite getting a.o.r email on May 29th. We've tried every permutation of sign for both my wife and I and it keeps coming back to " we cannot retrieve your file this could be one of three things " page.... Should we be worried ?

Ok that's what I thought thanks. When I enter our info into ecas it's still showing the " we couldn't find your file this could be one of three things " so we are not in process yet. AOR 29th May so shouldn't be far off.

Do you recieve an email to say you're in process,or do you just have to check your ecas status ?
