Hi, how long does it take to receive the passport? I have PR thru family class( hubby is Canadian) and everybody is telling me that I will receive sooner then those who applied under skilled worker visa etc. cause I'm married to Canadian. Is that true? Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone. :) I have recently received my PR under spousal sponsorship. The officer at the interview told us that I need to stay in Canada for 2 or 3 years (can't remember exactly) out of 5 years so that I won't loose my PR residency. Now the problem is my husband might get a job offer...

Hello everyone, I just wanted to add that I have received a letter from CIC today regarding my interview date. It will be on 3rd July. It is almost 3 months. :(

Rusty, sure will do! canham, I checked my ecas this morning that's how I found out. They probably emailed my useless lawyer but because he is useless I'm sure he didn't checked his mails or emails. They are only good until they take the money from you! I haven't received email from CIC.

I'm sure it will. It took 3 days for me to received the letter( they sent it on 9th March) and I'm in the same province! So if you are further then expect it early next week or hopefully this Friday:) hope you will get it sooner!

Hi Rusty, I applied online on 24th of Jan. It took 1.5 month and 2-3 days. They sent the letter on 9th March but i received it just half an hour ago :) so I would say exactly 1 an a half month. Hope it helps.
