    Applicants from Europe and USA

That isn’t to say logging on and seeing “application updated” is bad, it means there has been movement of some kind! But if you’re in “IP2” that’s no indication that your final decision is close I should also mention i got PPR last week, just over 9 months as needed additional documents but...

    Applicants from Europe and USA

IP1/IP2 is mostly nonsense in that it provides no clue as to how far along your application is. From what I gather from seniors it used to matter but it’s just become impossible to predict your progress based on the online profile. From my own experience anyone wanting to know how their...

Went to Ottawa at some point in March Aor 3rd July IP1 was...

Just logged on to discover I’ve had a ghost update today. My file is in Ottawa so maybe a decision has been made  Close call as I’m literally six weeks away from withdrawing my application and staying in the U.K. haha

    Proof of funds

You don’t need to settle loans but you do need to ensure you have additional funds to cover the full cost of all loans AND meet the minimum requirement for funds. As an example; an applicant of 1 you need $12,669. If you have a personal loan of $5000 you will need to show at least $17,669 in...

I had no indicated issues from CSE until 7 months in they decided there was an issue. It’s totally random depending on who responds to the CSE whether the information is truthful/helpful or not. Once you get notes, if you see a problem send documents to correct it. I wouldn’t wait for cic to...

The reply to my CSE this time was ‘we can confirm your application is still in progress, we hope this information is helpful’ Thanks guys I had no idea my application was in progress o_O could you also confirm that the sky is blue?

While on paper this is a good idea it’s not practical for myself. A pending Canadian application is preventing me from making any serious commitments in the U.K. it’s affecting my work, social and love life among others. The poor communication from IIRC hasn’t helped me consider keeping the...

I’m aware but I’ve put my life on hold waiting for a decision that they said would be six months, if they can’t sort it in twelve then i have no interest in wasting more time. Looking likely I’m getting a promotion at my job and now in a position to buy my first property so I’m not really...

Rolling on to nine months now, raised a final CSE on the (highly unlikely) off chance that I can get some information on what’s happening. Going to withdraw my application if the medicals expire in a few months so I’m happy the end is in sight whatever happens!:p

Been a month since I submitted additional documents and nothing from iirc. Brother is an inland applicant and approaching six months (and an expiring work visa) You can’t mention cic in our house without some kind of swear word before and/or after atm:p

    Credit card balance

They will only know based on the documents you submit and it is advisable that you do tell them as IIRC are asking you to declare all bank accounts/credit cards/loans. If you don’t declare bank B and IIRC find out you could see your application rejected and a 5 year ban for misrepresentation.

    Credit card balance

No provided the funds in your main bank are enough to meet the minimum funds requirement and cover the full amount of the credit card debt.

    Credit card balance

Unfortunately it’s no longer true as I’ve discovered first hand! IIRC ARE interested in your net worth now, maybe the guy I quoted got lucky but the letter I got from IIRC detailed my net worth.

    Credit card balance

When you submit your application IIRC will look at your bank statements and do the following. Total funds in all accounts - any debts/loans = how much you have to bring to Canada. For example for an applicant of 1 person you need $12,669 minimum. If you had $15500 in your account and a $4000...

    Credit card balance

No this would be flagged up. Any debt you declare on your application (and you should declare) will be deducted from your total funds to work out how much liquid money you have. In your example, whatever saving you have, they would minus 4K CC debt off your savings when working out POF

Response to my CSE today, a response literally just repeating all the information about VO and dates I’d put in my CSE and saying “we hope you find this information helpful” Gruff: I submitted my application on July 3rd, it’s at Nova Scotia and my criminality is marked complete. What is...
