All applicants need not be present. However, the ones who are not accompanying must sign a consent form. I have no idea about minors, though. VFS site explains everything clearly. :):)

yes..my husband and i submitted our passports via Kolkata VFS...pretty sorted and quite empty when we went...we got done within 15-20 minutes and we received our passports back within 10 working days

the last i called them up..the agent told me it was being processed (rather than progress)...and the next day i was shocked to notice "ip2"....so maybe this guy could have given you the good news in advance :D

yup...i didn't receive many a times..but i did receive a response within 10 days (that was the longest i had to wait)

honestly..i think it picked up when i sent 3 CSEs just to update my new passport details...and the 3rd was a stinker of sorts..

most probably you will get your PPR before that..i was asked to wait till 18th September

The only way is that you have the access to your account because ghost updates just appear on the profile. I didn’t hire any consultant... so no experience in removing the consultants contact details. However, i did read a few posts on how to remove their details and make it yours instead

I got them as soon as I entered the ip2....but you should keep an eye out for the ghost updates.. thats better indicator about progress in your profile

Yes i did.. i was asked for proof of employment records in IP2 .i got very lucky since they reviewed it quite fast. Since then, i got 2 ghost updates.. one right after submitting the AD.. the other one was yesterday

ADR status is still showing as being reviewed...but I have been ghosted twice since...it's a very, very confusing scenario..my profile seems to be haunted..too many ghosts visiting :p

I got ghosted... application status shows “updated” but the rest was unchanged.. upon return shows “submitted”...this is the 2nd in a week after submitting ADRs.... awaiting for the mail now:)

I really don’t know about the ones with ADRs....it takes so long to request additional documents.. god knows how long it will take to review them ...

Mine changed overnight... so it really depends ..... keeping fingers crossed now

mine is 5....i got into ip2 with additional document request.....u might get your ppr even before i get mine :)
