Depends on where you live. Vancouver takes a long time ... Other places not so much. Nothing else to do now but wait for the interview letter then when th day comes attend the interview, and then apply for SIN card, etc. Then another wait for the PR card.

Got DM first on both sides on ecas, then SA, via email to sponsor, a few days later and now more than a week later we received AIP via hard copy mail, addressed to principle applicant. How long after u saw DM on ecas did you get your landing letter??

That's very good to hear :). Also what I've been hearing from others. Dunno why the agent told me thing over the phone. I was just ecstatic when he said I was approved ... :D

I believe the owp process from submitting your app to receiving it is about 3-4 months, but depending on where u live, the interview dates are scheduled sooner ... But I think west coast has been having some delays and I have heard that at this stage Etobicoke, Ontario has a persumed date around...

Not sure, but y r u bothered with owp? It would be negated after copr, which you'd probably get soon ... unless I m missing something

Have you checked ecas ... Lao I'd suggest calling and finding out what's happening. I also don't have much of a change on the CIC website, but it had said started reviewing eligibility. But on ecas it said decision made. And I called today and I got an update and that I had passed eligibility...

Did you get an email?

When I logged into CIC website 2 days ago, it said profile updated, few hours later it went back to what it said earlier. So just waiting on some good news via email(or even mail from what I've read here) soon!!!

You need to apply through an outland application. But that's as far as my expertise goes. I am sure others would have more information. Good luck.

Ok thank you. I am also the PA and my application was also received on May 30th. But still nothing ... The tentative date that i have in mind is somewhere around end of feb, giving some leeway

Just realized my question was incomplete. My question is to those who have already recieved AIP/SA ... how long before receiving AIP and/or SA, did the status on the CIC website change to we are processing your background check? Thank you
