Yes! It did back in May, but I haven't heard from them since. I also received a letter from Quebec today, but just to inform me that they're processing the application. It was dayed the same day they charged my boyfriend's card.

I'm also applying through Quebec. They won't request the medical until they get the documents from Quebec. That's what I heard, at least. My application was charged June 4th and haven't heard from them yet, so when I do hear anything I'll let you know.

Dumb question, but humor me. ^^; At what time of day do you tend to get email notifications regarding updates on your online application? Like, is there a trend? Does it tend to be in the mornings so I should stop checking my email every 5 minutes by noon (lol) or do they actually work...

Just a heads-up. I called CIC and there was an automated message saying that there are currently technical issues going on their website, which is not allowing them to update the status of your application. I imagine this will be a short-lived issue, but just letting you guys know. =)

Did you go to one of the doctors from the list provided by CIC on their website? Also, EDE stands for Excessive Demand Exempt. All this means is that you are required to take a full, extensive medical exam, but if anything EDE protects you a little, it doesn't mean there's an extra requirement...
