I don't think it should take longer than usual for cops....my husband's friend is in punjab police as well and he got his within the standard time i.e.12 months.....have you tried the web form? that might help? It shouldn't take this long just because your husband works for government :-/

But the person from the MP's office said that they are actually doing the security clearance right now...I called them last week and I really hope that this week NDVO will shower PPR's for August applicants.....this wait is driving me nuts now...!!
