It's frustrating that you cant use COPR and the stamp in your passport to re-enter the country. I get that it's the process but it doesn't make sense to me. The wait continues. I guess going by others' experience, I will get my card in the new year.

I landed on October 26. No PR card. No ghost update. Nothing. Processing time during my landing interview was 47 days so still within that timeframe. I provided photos at the time of the landing interview in Vancouver. Current wait times are 50 days. Was planning on going away for Christmas but...

Doesn't your work permit become void as you no longer require it? I was advised not to travel without the PR card but I was on implied status as my work permit had expired so not sure about this one.

Congrats. I am pretty sure our timeline was similar. My AOR was July 9 and MEP July 24.

Random question - I now have PR (October 26) but I applied for my Bridging Open Work Permit back on July 10th. I know I no longer need it but I am curious about what happens to the application. Do they just stop processing or will I still receive it? I applied on paper so I cant view my status.

I don’t think there is any method to their madness to be honest. I know of someone who applied after me (my AOR is July 9) and got theirs before me. I know another May applicant who got theirs at the end of September. I got mine on October 26. May and July seem to be very slow. Hang in...
