Hey All, received my Notice to appear to take Oath Letter today. Scheduled for October 26th, 1pm MDT. The status was updated in the tracker on October 15th. Email-only received today.

Is the oath ceremony held online or do we need to go in person? I live 1.5hrs from the largest city ( Calgary), so I need coverage at my work if this if this requires in-person attendance.

No idea. From what I've read on the internet- it's sometimes if the name is similar to someone with a criminal background - they ask for it, but sometimes it is just at random. Someone mentioned here in this forum, if the fingerprints from PR have expired (I've obtained my PR over 10 years...

That makes sense. I've done it on December 22nd through the commissionaire's office who will then forward it to RCMP and then RCMP will forward to the office requiring these.

I have not checked my ecas, but I got the request via email. I called the local RCMP straight away, but they said they no longer do the fingerprinting for citizenship because of covid and gave me the commissionaire's number in Calgary, who they said will do it for me. Received request for fingerprints yesterday, December 8th. Because of COVID19, the local RCMP not doing it and I had to make an appointment with the commissioner they referred me to in Calgary on the 21st December.

Sent my application on in first week of March, received there on March 13th. Received AOR on September 1st via email.
