Not a bad idea if you're going to lose status soon. I applied for LMIA based work permit after my inland PR application, and I got my WP in 3 mos. I don't know how long it will take though with the current situation. If you're not losing status very soon, just wait for your OWP.

If you sent it right away, you should be fine. For as long as your status is not yet showing in process/being reviewed. You should receive an acknowledgement a couple of days after submitting your new document that it has been attached to your file.

I did Biometrics for my TR and it's valid until 2030. No request for Bio or Medical for PR. I'm currently on LMIA work permit.

What happened after your ghost update? Same thing happened to my application today, but no new status or message.

Jan. 21 applicant from the WhatsApp group received BIL today. I'm a Jan. 22 applicant, I had Biometrics for TRV also in January. I have not received BIL yet. Is anyone in the same situation where TRV biometrics is still valid?

December applicants are getting medical requests. It will be our turn soon.

September and some October 2019 applicants started receiving COPR in late August and early September. So hopefully still within 12 months if IRCC continues with their current pace. Fingers crossed.

Got approval for my WP today! Submitted online Jan. 30, approved Apr. 30, so 3 months processing time, inland LMIA-based.

Same situation here. Applied Jan. 30 with valid biometrics. I am still waiting. 89th day per published processing time has already passed. Will give them a couple more days before I inquire via the webform.

I applied for a closed work permit Jan. 30, 2020 inland, online. No decision yet, it only says background check is in progress. Hopefully it gets approved by the end of April.

What happened to your application? Was it approved with wrong photo?
