My application was received on April 9th and I got AOR on July 16th. However, I am not able to see my status in ECAS (it reads they cannot find my application). Do you know what could be the reason? Hopefully I will get it soon anyway! Thank you!

We had already a bank account, opened when we were temporary worker...I knew that the SIN was necessary to open a bank account but maybe you can open one without, I'm not super sure about that. Sorry, I cannot help with this.

In our case only work is the big concern. However, you certainly need it to open a bank account. Luckily, for the RAMQ card it's not necessary.
