    Research assistant (RA, NOC 4012)

TA or research assistantship in Canada is not acceptable. My friend was banned for five years for claiming points for that. A court ruled that the decision was too harsh. He has since declined to file using that route. Similar experience gained outside Canada is acceptable. So my word is not to...

I will say let her proceed with the 442 score because she will get ITA very quick. Your children won’t be affected- they will get PR. Just enter all their names in her application. In a letter of explanation she can explain your job situation as the reason you’re not accompanying. Once she does...

Continuity of Work and Research Assistant Position

Continuous work doesn’t mean it should be in the same NOC category. You should should work experience as long as it’s within NOC A or B or O categories. I showed mine for a year of work as a graduate assistant in the USA. I just received GCMS notes which indicates that eligibility has been...

Continuity of Work and Research Assistant Position

Yes. Claim points for all the months you worked as a research assistant. Just get a letter from your graduate coordinator under a letterhead indicating same. Your supervising professor can also do that for you. I claimed same points and my case is approved for eligibility. You’re good bro...

You should raise a CSE using web form. Don’t wait. Normally language test is added to educational documentation in your PDF. In your CSE remember to attach your nomination certificate. Send in both and explain briefly that you forgot about them or that there was no space to upload them during...

    Direct IP2: Curse or Blessing

Hi Guys, I passed my medicals and moved to IP2 the same day. Since then there’s been no update. Many others I see on the forum move from IP1 to IP2 then get PPR within days. I feel it’s not a good a sign to move directly to IP2. Has anyone had the same experience? Please share. My ITA/AOR...

    IELTS SCORES

I think you have a high chance Keertena. But while you’re entering the pool try requesting a re-evaluation of your writing score to see if there’s an improvement. Also use the IRCC tool to see where your points lie. Am sure a 445+ range will cushion and you should probably get a draw soon. Bests!

    Research Assistant (NOC 4012)

You can check this from your contract document. If you don't have one, the professor could also confirm your weekly hours in the letter. They might call him to verify though.

    Research Assistant (NOC 4012)

Ask your professor to write a letter stating your job title, roles, the dates of work, hours per work, and possibly the stipend per month. That is it. I did the same. You will be fine. But I doubt if you can claim points for full time work because you were studying at the same time. So part...

I am unsure too. It’s taking long to get medicals approved. But I expected BGC first. Eligibility is too early at this stage.

Helllo guys, could you help determine where I am? My medicals have not been passed since my AOR is 9th May. But I see that they are reviewing my eligibility. This is odd because I read on this forum that medicals follow after AOR. Why is mine different? Application status We received your...
