    Two oath dates

Both. The first email and update on the tracker was in December so I was ready for it. In January, I received another update on the tracker and another email with a new date a week from the first one. I called and opened a web form and on the call the agent told me to respond to the email that...

    October 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

I received two oath invites one for the 18th and the other for the 26th of this month. Has anyone ever had this issue? I called and the agent could see it and said I should email the Niagara office as they sent it to me and that he would also leave a note.

Renew PR or wait for Citizenship Oath again?

Although your PR card might have expired, you’re still a PR. You only need the card if you’re travelling out. I don’t believe you need it as a part of the citizenship process. The most you will need would be the COPR. If you’re not travelling anytime soon and you’re going to be getting your oath...

If an application returned, can it be resubmitted online?

Good question, hopefully someone can answer. If you meet the requirements to submit it online I don’t see why not.

On BOWP, PR rejected - what happens?

It means you are a temporary resident until a decision is made about your permanent resident application. With your bridging work permit, you can continue to work etc and remain in Canada.

CBSA left a note on file

Yeah , I understood that from the original post. Don’t sweat it, you’ll be fine. The discrepancy is only a few days and the note on file is there for clarification if needed.

CBSA left a note on file

No one on here will know for sure, doesn’t sound like too much of big deal just a few days in between. For your peace of mind, when applying for citizenship give yourself more than the recommended days needed to apply. As the previous person said, there are other means to prove your residency...

    Gap between two WPs

When I applied, I also had a gap period when I was on implied status waiting for my new work permit and also waiting for my PR. I reported the gap and stated I was physically in Canada on implied status as a temporary resident while awaiting the decision. They know what it is.

    Update a citizenship application?

Someone correct me if I am wrong but your PR CARD is not classed as a travel document. You do not need to include it with your application for citizenship. As per the guide, you can’t even use it as a personal identification document.

    Passport photo for citizenship issue

Hello, Thanks for your response. I’m also assuming it should be okay seeing as the other one is quite clear. I’ll put the receipts from Staples( that’s where they were taken) just in case. It shows the same date.

    Passport photo for citizenship issue

Hey guys, I have a quick question. I am about to submit my citizenship application. At the back of the passport photos, they have the name of the studio, address of the studio, date the pictures were taken, my full name and signature. The issue I am having is the date on one of the pictures...

On BOWP, PR rejected - what happens?

Hey, The BOWP is just another open work permit so it will have an expiry date and that’s what I mean by as long as it is still valid. You can keep working on Canada until the expiry date on the BOWP and if you haven’t gotten a decision or reapplied for another permit then you have to stop...

Work permit bridge application after PR approval

That’s incorrect. I withdrew the application by sending a case online. I got my money back. It depends on if the BOWP has been processed by the time you put in the application to withdraw it. This is the exact message I got back after I put in my request. “Thank you for contacting...

Work permit bridge application after PR approval

They will automatically cancel it once the system figures it out. However, in my case I sent a request asking for the BOWP to be cancelled and my money refunded as it’s no longer needed due to me now having PR.

UK Visa Rejection impact on Canadian PR process. | Statutory Questions

The first questions applies more to your situation. The second one would be if you’ve been deported, refused entry at the border or airport and put back on the plane etc. As long as you’re declaring that you were refused the UK visa or any other visas from any other country you’re fine. They are...
