Using non-taxable income to Sponsor Parents

No, I didn't apply for PGP last year. When it comes to terminology there is a difference between income and salary. Research fellowships are fixed annual funds that one receives for conducting research and are definitely a type of income and salary. It could have been easier if they write this...

Using non-taxable income to Sponsor Parents

Thanks for the reply. I do meet all minimum (even for 2018) except for 2020 When I add my fellowship to my income in NOA for 2020 my income goes over 50K and I couldn't find if I can't use the fellowship as a source of income. For example, If I was a part-time student exactly with the same...

Using non-taxable income to Sponsor Parents

Hello, I was planing for applying to sponsor my single parent for a while and now with the Covid closings last year I am facing a dilemma preparing documents for this year's family sponsorship program. Every year they ask for the income NOA (line 150) of the last three years. I don't have any...

Only on Feb 1 and when I called the agent told me "your security status updated today to completed". But no ghost update after that and I was checking it frequently.

I had similar issues calling them from Vancouver, They hang up intentionally since their call center queue overflows, you just need to find the right time and call them over and over until you get connected. Unlike other people here from other areas I was able to call them only between 1:30 PM...

This is very strange, Usually, by the time they issue a biometrics collection letter, other documents must be checked for completemess. According to the tie-breaking rule, your conditions when you receive the AOR can be the base of judgments. What is the 2nd exam date is it after AOR or before...

What is your AOR date and when did you get the refusal letter? I believe they do all checks about completeness during the first two months?

Likewise, my security started with a significant delay after other phases were completed and I got security completed today (per phone call). She confirmed multiple times that all assessments completed and just someone will make the final decision in the upcoming days. I would say don't call...

Wow, it is really not fair to have everything approved for six weeks with no update. @legalfalcon you helped us a lot with posts related to each phase processing task and timelines. However, I believe, there is one more question here for everyone. What is really happening after all the steps...

Hi guys, I just received a ghost update and per call, to IRCC I found out that my security completed today. It took about one month for security which I guess is reasonable however, I believe from this point on I joined the club of "everything passed but no change". based on what I read here...

Got Request Letter for submitting a Students Form in my PR Application for CEC

@legalfalcon Thanks for helping everyone patiently here. If you remember from this post based on your advice, I submitted a more detailed version of the student form just two days after submitting the original one to the portal (three days after the request letter). However today after one month...

I don't want to be pessimistic but around 40% of users never return to update their status. I get this percent by looking at 2019-June CEC. You might add another 20% or 30% to that 30% for those who got their PPR and didn't update their status.

Thanks for clarifying that, so only Dec and Jan could show us our status in the queue which is currently not available. I wish there were some tools to make the progress of applications more transparent, so the applicants wouldn't rely on speculations and getting nervous.

I am AOR June 24 and according to the officer when I called in Jan, my security started December 23, one month after my eligibility passed conclusively. Even he said that "Somehow your file was not touched for a month and security started one month later after everything was passed." So don't...
