    Signature issue

Unfortunately what you attempted to do can be misconstrued as an attempt to misrepresent or commit fraud . It would be therefore prudent to PLEASE just follow the formal process unless you want to fall on the wrong side of the law over something as simple as a passport renewal.....

Just reached my 3 years mark for PR, do I need police check for the previous 4 years?

If the police certificate is bothersome to get, you can wait till November this year provided you never left the country and you would not need it....

I think Im in deep trouble, OHIP related.

If the worst comes to the worst you could move to Alberta... coverage has no waiting period... However you would have to maintain Alberta residency for not less than six months every year

Does my 6 month visitor visa restart if i go over the border?

Incorrect... when OP crossed the boarder into the states their initial stay ended... When they came back and presented themselves to CBSA and were allowed entry... in the absence of a stamp with a date in OP’s passport then they were allowed in on a new stay that is 6 months long....

Your wife is not your dependant on the citizenship application so don’t stress... When the test invites come just go take your test then if she is still out of the country then SHE will have to notify IRCC..... In some instances you may get different tests dates because of different processing...

Applying for citizenship day count question.

Agreed.... in some circumstances however a buffer may be unnecessary if an applicant is totally sure about their absences... My brother landed at Toronto Pearson 1 July 2015... his passport expired in September 2015 and he never renewed it... so he has never left the country since 1 July...

PR card approved but was told to pick up in person?

I agree with the second part... the first part though.... If you read ENF 27 section 8.5 is outlines the cases under which applicants may be expected to pick up a PR card in person... and the first one is.... if they are concerns about an applicant’s residency obligation. Even if applicant is...

PR card approved but was told to pick up in person?

If OP has been in Canada for at least 1 day in the last 365 days...even if they are denied a PRTD on H&C grounds... then they can be issued one if they intimate to the Consular officer that they wish to appeal the decision.... ENF 27 section 7.3 specifically provides for this...

PR card approved but was told to pick up in person?

You were asked to apply for a PRTD because they want to see if you have a reason to keep your PR Don’t be fooled by them saying to pick up the card... it is all procedural.... ENF 27 section 7.3 and 8.5 ....require that an applicant who is out of the country be told to apply for a PRTD so...
