The average processing time for London VO is 8 months. Unluckily for me they're doing security screening. Absolutely no clue of when this process will end and every time I ask London VO (LVO) they say it could take months. What seems to trigger a security screening is a lot of travel history...

Like Maged said, can be any. Usually London as a primary, Riyadh as secondary. Abu Dhabi is the fastest. A friend of mine got his PPR in about 4 months. I'm with London, they're the slowest of all visa offices. My AOR is 29-Jun-17. Good luck.

Never did it from Canada. Did it from outside Egypt though. Go to the consulate, fill the form, do the fingerprints, send the form to someone you know in Egypt (by FedEx) preferably sibling or parents, they submit the form at the local police station, takes about a day or two to get the result...
