    October 11th 2017 - Citizenship Applicants under 3/5 rule

Is it strange that my ECAS is still not updated with my "oath ceremony invitation" line (line 5)? Not that it matters, just curious. Did anyone else have this happen to them?

Dear fellow Vancouverites and to-be-citizens! I have posted this in other thread already, but some of you might not be visiting other threads often...so re-posting from the other thread. Wait is over for me, finally. Received oath invited today (29th May, 2018) for ceremony on 26th June, 2018...

Wait is over finally. Got oath invitation too. Location: Vancouver, BC Oath Invite Date: 29th May, 2018 Oath Ceremony Date: 26th June, 2018 Also, the invitation asks me to bring completed "Prohibitions Form". Is it normal? Has anyone been asked to bring completed "prohibitions form" too?

You gotta keep trying. That's their standard response when they are busy. I tried at least 6-8 times before I got "lucky" to be in queue for 40 minutes! Haha!

Just called IRCC call center. The agent did confirm that all the check marks are in place and the next logical step is "oath invite". But they also mentioned that they don't have any information on when the oath will be held. Looks like Vancouver is sleeping!

Correct. See this post. It's likely that your background check was done in 2 days. Or maybe, it was almost completed by the time you took your test.

Just got some new information: I had ordered my GCMS notes last month and just got them this morning. When going thru them carefully, I saw a note that states: "Files are reviewed every two weeks. Once it has, it will be given to Officer to review and grant and then it proceeds to a ceremony."...

Yeah, for some reason, vancouver has been slow lately. Got DM on 4th May. But no oath invite yet. Applicants from other test centers who got DMs after 4th may have been getting oath invites already.

I got it by canada post mail. ECAS was updated a day after I got the invite. Never received any email.

Could be due to Victoria day...special ceremony. (Although 24th is NOT Victoria day...but close enough I guess)
