Lucky you! I called today to ask why I didn’t receive anything and they said they didn’t send anything yet... that I should wait. But at least he confirmed that the application was approved! Let’s hope I will get mine soon

We sent an email, then they answered and scheduled an appointment to go sign the form that would allow them to contact immigration on our behalf

I’m March 2017 and I got DM on Friday after about 2 weeks of contacting the MP’s office, You guys should go ahead and to contact yours as well.. I have seen a lot of people doing that (after passing the 12 months deadline) and seem like they really push the immigration to finish the application!

But I think traveling is okay... you only have to do the background from another country if you have lived there for more than 6 months which seems to be the cases of the delayed processes

Omg, I’m truly sorry! I would be very pissed as well. I just don’t get why everything has to be so difficult... a freaking email could have sold the problem, why they didn’t send it to you? I honestly gave up trying to understand how it works... I hope you will have your appointment rescheduled...

Not really, I didn’t even send it.. my lawyer said that they probably missed communication between one agent and the other when passing the info because Quebec sends it directly. He told me the last time he contacted them it was something with my background and it would take 2 weeks to finish...

I have lived in two different countries and it’s been 15 months.. I applied on March 15, 2017... I just posted some updates but in case you didn’t see I had to contact MP’s office in order to understand what was going on. It seems like it really affects the timeline of the process unfortunately...

Guys, i just got an update from the MP’s office (I’m March 2017) and they said a decision has been made in my file! However I checked the CIC website and nothing changed, when I call the machine it changed (today) and now it says they have started reviewing the eligibility.... I’m so anxious...

Sounds like living in other countries before affects the whole process unfortunately. May I ask when did you apply? Almost 15 months waiting on my side
