I forgot to ask if you got a letter to submit biometrics. If you have received the biometrics letter, you can as well do both at the same time. I believe you have paid for the biometrics since it is usually paid with the visa fee. Do you mind sharing your timeline and the visa office?

9 hours! Is there no CIC office close to you? If you are scheduled for Scarborough office, You can speak to CIC about it. You never know, they may reschedule you to a closer office. Good luck and I hope you get a closer location.

Ari, I can see from your signature that you have assigned 17 May 2016 for your oath date. What other oath date are you asking about? What makes you believe or think your oath time will that far? There's no specific pattern with CIC. They are unpredictable. It all depends on individual cases...

It is possible oath letter was sent without updating ecas. For example, my oath letter was sent on 28/sep but there was no update in my ecas until 30/sep . Andd I got the letter on 30/sep. So, it is possible to get a letter without ecas update.

Originally, it was Mississauga office but we did our test in Scarborough Centre and the oath ceremony is also scheduled to take place in Scarborough Centre. It seems Mississauga office had some issues (my opinion).
