I asked the cic call centre agent and was told that fingerprints are taken 1.)If suspicious of criminal record or name similar to someone with criminal record or 2.),the names are just picked randomly for no reason or 3.) if it was wasnt taken anytime before!

You send then your info./client id through web form as it says on the website ( if you lost your confirmation no. Send a webfrm....!!!) and they will reply to you.

I did send web forms ( got same reply like most of us, that we verified with the info u provided, your apllication is not in our system, i did send a feedback as suggested by an agent (link)...
