    I got the ghost update on May 03 but nothing after that. My AOR is Oct 10 and I have the same timeline as you. Did you get any ghost update and anything subsequent to the update?

    Congratulations... this gives me hope that ghost update is still valid if you cross 15 days.. I had mine on May 3 and I hope it will bring something eventually...

    Its been 15 days since I got ghost update but got nothing up until now. Can anyone share what could be the reason that ghost update was not followed by ADR or PPR?

    I dont know anything about him/her. Never been popular among applicants like VCM or DRD. I hope he/she process it faster then others.

    No I have not been asked about it yet. I saw a ghost update on Thursday and as per trend it would take 10-15 days before I get any ADR or PPR.. so waiting.

    I am too with KKB and got the same response as you on April 23 and then on May 03 I got a ghost update in my account. I am now waiting for what that update was about.

    I got a ghost update yesterday, this was the Ist one I got since IP2 on Feb 27. I think I will wait for another week to see what that update was about. Maybe I will get ADR or PPR from them soon.

    I just noticed a ghost update in my account. I got the reply from LVO on April 23 that my application is in *Necessary Background checks*. Fingers crossed

    Hello Bill, I need your input on the reply I got from KKB about my file. It states that *Your file is undergoing necessary background checks and we will contact you as soon as these completed" Can you please advise how long does it take to complete such checks? and is this the routine checks or SS?

I too got the same response to raise webform and they dint reply my emails and once my application was 6 months old, I raised CSE and the response was that my file is undergoing necassary BG checks and will contact as soon as these completes.     Yeah i have the same understanding. I dont think I am in SS yet. I hope that they process it soon. Does anyone have any idea how long it take for necassary/regular background checks to complete.

    I dont know how to find them, is there any thread where i can share this with other people. Recently I have seen that the people in SS receive email with wording of something like "Additional BG checks and verifications required, processing time will be outside the posted time period etc.,"...

    If it would have been SS then they must have used that additional verifications are being conducted on your file and it would take months to complete those but instead they have used phrase "Necessary background checks" that means these are regular checks that part of each application process...
