I just put my application no in the subject and wrote a simple email giving my application details and telling them that I learnt from IRCC agent that the PPR email was sent to me but I haven’t received it so please resend on both my mail as well as cic account so I don’t miss it again.

Every case has a different processing timeline. Can’t really comment why it’s taking so long. But I would suggest you call IRCC and check where your application is. I can share my experience with you - PPR email was sent to me a day after my application moved to IP2 but I didn’t get any email...

IP2 is when the background check status says ‘we are processing your background check’. Is that what your status says?

So from here, typically an application goes to NA2 or (mostly now-a-days) IP2 (we are processing your background check...) and in the next step an email with subject ‘ready for visa’ is sent to your registered email Id. At this stage, usually there is no change in the status on the MyCIC page.
