It was a dynamic number. It didn't resolve in Fedex. I never attempted to track it. The only thing that I was able to track was the final tracking no that indicated the passport delivery.

It means it had already reached NYC. The VFS has to generate a shipping label, and send it to you. In a day, you should get the Fedex tracking number with overnight delivery.

You cannot track it until it reaches them but they will send you continuous emails. Stay calm and all will be fine in the next 5 days. I live in US too :)

They have sent it to Canada. Since it is just a matter of pasting new visa on your passport, they do it within a day and send it back and it usually comes back within a day. Once it is done and while your PP is in transit, you can check your new visa record showing up in IRCC site

You will not get tracking updates until the VFS office actually sends your PP to Canada iRCC office. In my case, they sent it after a week on Wednesday. Last three days I got continuous updates. But there is no way to track it if it is still in the VFS center as far as I am aware

No idea if individual VFS have specific processing time. Once they sent to Canada IRCC office, looks like it is quite fast. I am getting the passport back today as they sent a notice that it is already on the way. You might hear back from them this week.
