Hello everyone, I applied for citizenship in February and the application is currently in processing. The passport from my home country expired recently. I have no plans to travel outside Canada. Do I still need to renew the passport?

I used Canada Post Xpresspost - it's fast and comes with tracking. Use the regular mail address on the instructions letter. One-day delivery, two-day delivery or even a week to deliver - it's all roughly the same in the grand scheme of things. I chose it just for the tracking benefits.
