Dear Brizzha - AOR - Acknowledgement of receipt - the email that you get from the Mississauga office saying that they have received your package, and it was complete, and they are now beginning processing. ARC - Authorization to Return to Canada PGR - pretty sure this is the police certificate...

Yup, everyone's case is completely distinct. Our file was submitted in October 2017. They requested our medicals before the file was even transferred, in December 2017. Our file was transferred in January 2018. They sent us confirmation of receipt and a request for a police check in March 2018...

It is hard to say when they will ask you for PCC, but it does tend to be at least 2 months after the initial transfer to the Visa office, and sometimes longer, from what other people on here have said. Maybe you will be lucky and it will be faster than that but it's good to keep your...

It looks like if your PCC is more than 6 months old, they will request a new one, so you might want to be prepared for that possibility.

From what I understand, you have exactly one year from the date of your medical exam to enter into Canada. For instance, we did ours on December 13, 2017 and so we would have until December 13, 2018 to land in Canada. Our COPR also indicated this date in the letter.

Yep, we got a pre arrival message as well, on exactly the same day as the passport request. According to CIC, background check still in progress, so as everyone says, clearly they really don't update that necessarily at the same time.

Hi Eninaj28 - our medical request was also requested prior to transfer to the VO. It was AOR1, sponsorship approval, medical request, and then file transfer. However, once our file was transferred it was a month before it was received by Mexico, and another month after that until they got in...

We received our PCC request 2 months after receiving the VO transfer email (according to ECAS they received our file one month after the VO transfer email, but the VO only contacted us another month after that), so I wouldn't worry about it yet.

We have almost your exact same timeline as yours Nad1017 and received an AOR2 on the 27th of March, but I think it is only because in the same email they requested a police certificate from us as we needed a Colombian certificate which we can only get with a specific request from the visa...

    Suggestions? - Police Check - Colombia/Ecuador 2017

Sebeck thank you so very much for your reply and for your help, we really appreciate it! Do you have idea perhaps whether with the certificate from Ecuador that that is a document we would need to have notarize or legalized in some way, rather than just printing off an online document? It seems...

    Suggestions? - Police Check - Colombia/Ecuador 2017

Hi all, We are a common-law couple - me Canadian born and my partner Colombian - both of us living in Ecuador. Our file was transferred to the Mexico Visa Office in January 2018. We applied in October 2017. At the time, police reports did not need to be included with the package. I have read...
